Tower Hamlets Council has proposed a PSPO restricting dogs and dog owners that could result in banning off-lead dogs from all public spaces including parks.

1. NEW: Complete the council’s online consultation!
The council’s online consultation can now be filled in. We strongly recommend you complete it.
We’ve produced a document of our own notes and opinions to help people provide their own informed and effective answers.
2. Email Your Councillors!
Please email your councillors to communicate your opposition to the PSPO and let them know just how many people are against it. We’ve created a simple web tool to draft an email from a template
3. Sign the Petition!
We need 500 more signatutes to force a council debate!
If you live, work or study in Tower Hamlets… Please sign the petition on the council website. With enough signatures, this will force the council to debate the issue. IMPORTANT: If you have already signed the change.org petition, please also sign this one!
If you do NOT live, work or study in Tower Hamlets… please sign the petition on change.org. This will still allow us to demonstrate significant opposition.
4. Register for Updates
Please register to stay updated with news and how else to help oppose the proposal. We want to get as many people involved in the public consultation process - we think this will be the most impactful way of influencing the decision!
5. Raise Awareness
Speak to other dog walkers in the park, tell your friends, tell your family! We have material you can use in spreading the word.
Share flyers! We have flyers, posters and business cards for download here. Please print to give out to people, share with dog businesses, and put up in shops and on notice boards.
Help the petition drive! We have a print version of the online council petition for download and printing here for collecting signatures in person. Once sheets are completed, Pavilion Cafe in Victoria Park have kindly agreed to act as a drop off point.
