I am writing to express my concerns regarding the proposed Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) by Tower Hamlets Council, aimed at addressing dog-related anti-social behaviour. This order would impose fines ranging from £100 to £1000 on dog owners. While I understand the intention behind this proposal, I believe it is disproportionately and unreasonably restrictive and will negatively impact both dogs and responsible dog owners in our community.

In particular, I object to the following measures:
    1. The banning of off-lead dogs in parks.
    2. The lack of consideration for the elderly or people with disabilities.
    3. The arbitrary limits on the number of dogs that an individual can walk.

These measures are detrimental to the well-being of our community and our canine companions. Existing regulations already address concerns about dog behaviour and safety. Instead of imposing new restrictive measures, I urge the council to enforce current laws more effectively. By doing so, promoting responsible dog ownership through education, and redirecting resources to tackle violent crime, we can ensure our community remains safe and dog-friendly.
